Entrepreneurship

Overview

The course provides entrepreneurial skills for students to venture into business after graduation. Focus will be on forms of business ownership; the establishment of personal businesses; basic marketable business plan preparation. Development of SMEs, investment, financial and other forms of management; quality control, advertising and public relations, patent laws, customer care, taxation and such important matters for business starters will be discussed. The course will also involve visits to industries and interaction with industrialists. At the end of the course, students will be able to explain basic entrepreneurial concepts; identify factors that should be considered when starting a business; identify basic marketing strategies; prepare a good business plan and; identify factors necessary for managing graphic design businesses to ensure growth.
